SUMMARY:NORTHROP GRUMMAN 2nd Q 2018 EARNINGS CONF CALL\, July 25\, 2018\, virtual\, 12:00 pm ET (webcast)
DESCRIPTION:Northrop Grumman will release its 2nd Quarter 2018 financial results on July 25\, 2018.  Its earnings conference call will take place at 12:00 pm ET and be webcast on the Northrop Grumman investors website.   Speakers are Chairman and CEO Wes Bush\, President and COO Kathy Warden\, and CFO Ken Bedingfield. \nThis is the first financial conference call since Northrop Grumman’s acquisition of Orbital ATK closed; since Northrop Grumman announced that Bush will step down as CEO on January 1\, 2019 (with  Warden as his successor) and as Chairman on July 1\, 2019; and since the independent review of the James Webb Space Telescope (JWST) was completed. Northrop Grumman is the prime contractor for JWST.  That review concluded JWST will breach its congressionally-imposed $8 billion cost cap by 10 percent and not launch until March 2021 instead of October 2018. \nThe House Science\, Space\, and Technology Committee is holding a pair of hearings about JWST. The first part is immediately prior to this earnings call — at 10:00 am ET on July 25 — where NASA Administrator Jim Bridenstine and Tom Young\, chair of the independent review\, will testify.  Bush will testify the next day.  Young will be on that panel with him as well. \n
