SUMMARY:OMB RELEASES FY2020 BUDGET REQUEST (Phase 1)\, Mar 11\, 2019\, DC\, 11:30 am ET
DESCRIPTION:According to the Government Publishing Office\, the FY2020 budget request will be released in two “phases” at 11:30 am ET on March 11 and March 18. \nThe U.S. Government Publishing Office (GPO) and the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) will be releasing President Donald J. Trump’s Fiscal Year 2020 Budget for the U.S. Government in two phases. The first phase of the Budget of the U.S. Government will be released on March 11\, 2019. The second phase\, to be released on March 18\, 2019\, will include the Budget Appendix\, Analytical Perspectives and Major Savings and Reforms. GPO works with OMB to produce and distribute the President’s Federal Budget\, an annual tradition since the Budget and Accounting Act was established in 1921. \nWhen:\nPhase One: Monday\, March 11\, 2019\, 11:30 a.m. EDT\nPhase Two: Monday\, March 18\, 2019\, 11:30 a.m. EDT \n  \nOn March 11\, NASA Administrator Jim Bridenstine will speak about NASA’s future at 1:00 pm ET and NASA’s Chief Financial Officer Jeff DeWit will hold a telecon with details about the NASA  request at 5:00 pm ET. \nOn March 12\, the Pentagon will hold a budget briefing at 12:00 pm ET\, and the Air Force at 2:30 pm ET that day. \n
