DESCRIPTION:NASA astronaut Serena Auñón-Chancellor will be available for a last round of media interviews before she launches to the International Space Station on Soyuz MS-09 on June 6\, 2018. \nThe interviews will take place at Star City\, Russia on May 15\, 2018 beginning at 8:00 am ET and will air on NASA TV and the agency’s website. \nThis is Auñón-Chancellor’s first flight.  She joined the astronaut corps in 2009.  Previously she was a NASA flight surgeon and served as the deputy lead for medical operations for NASA’s Orion spacecraft.  She has a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering and a doctorate in medicine from the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston’s McGovern Medical School.
