DESCRIPTION:UPDATE\, AUGUST 13:  The White House Live website now shows that the event will\, indeed\, be livestreamed there.  https://www.whitehouse.gov/live/ \nUPDATE\, AUGUST 12\, 10:30 pm ET:  The just-released schedule for the President tomorrow shows that his remarks will be at 2:30 pm ET rather than 2:15. \nPresident Trump will sign into law the FY2019 National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) on August 13\, 2018 at Fort Drum\, NY at 2:15 pm ET. \nAlthough the bill does not mention creation of a Space Force\, it does require DOD to establish a U.S Space Command as a subunit of U.S. Strategic Command and take other actions that could be characterized as steps towards a Space Force.  On August 9\, Vice President Pence announced the Administration’s plans to create a U.S. Department of the Space Force by 2020\, with the goal of winning congressional authorization for it in next year’s NDAA. \nThus\, it would not be surprising if the President mentions his Space Force plans during Monday’s signing ceremony\, which may be carried on C-SPAN and/or White House Live.
