SUMMARY:PROGRESS MS-35 CARGO MISSION TO ISS\, Sept 16\, 2026\, Kazakhstan\, 9:33 am ET
DESCRIPTION:Update\, September 16:  Progress MS-35/96P did\, in fact\, lift off at 9:33 am ET today and will dock at the ISS on Saturday\, September 19\, at 9:46 am ET according to NASA’s press release. \nUpdate\, September 15\, 11:30 pm ET:  NASA still has not posted any updated information about this launch. Whether that means it’s not taking place tomorrow morning EDT\, or NASA’s not covering it (which would be unusual)\, or it wasn’t posted on NASA Live\, is a mystery.  Check NASA Live for updates. \nUpdate\, September 11\, 2026:  NASA has not indicated when the launch will take place\, but several websites including Anatoly Zak’s RussianSpaceWeb.com say it will be on September 16 at 16:33:53 Moscow Time (9:33:53 am EDT). We will update this post if official information is forthcoming. \nUpdate\, September 9\, 8:00 am ET: NASA did not put out a press release or blog post (as least that we can find)\, but the NASA Live website that lists upcoming NASA programming says the launch is postponed. \n \nUpdate\, September 8\, 11:45 am ET:  No change to the schedule has been announced by NASA as of this moment. \nUpdate\, September 7\, 11:55 am ET: Reports on X by @RussianSpaceWeb and @katlinegrey today say the launch has been postponed because of problems with the Soyuz rocket’s third stage. No official announcement has been made yet\, however. \nUpdate\, September 3:  NASA says launch coverage will begin at 12:00 pm ET on X\, Discovery+\, Amazon Prime\, YouTube\, NASA+. \nDocking at the Poisk module is scheduled for September 11 at 2:37 pm ET and NASA coverage begins at 1:45 pm ET on X\, Discovery+\, Amazon Prime\, YouTube\, NASA+. \nOriginal Entry: Russia will launch the next Progress cargo mission to the International Space Station\, Progress MS-35\, on September 9\, 2026 from the Baikonur Cosmodrome in Kazakhstan. NASA refers to this as Progress 96 (96P) because it is the 96th Progress to resupply the ISS\, although there were many dozens launched before that to support Soviet/Russian space stations starting in 1978. \nNASA typically provides live launch and docking coverage. Check NASA Live for details.
