DESCRIPTION:The National Academies of Sciences\, Engineering\, and Medicine will release its latest Decadal Survey for astronomy and astrophysics — Pathways to Discovery in Astronomy and Astrophysics for the 2020s — on November 4\, 2021. \nThe public is invited to a webinar from 2:00-3:30 pm ET where the report will be discussed. \nThe National Academies produces Decadal Surveys for each of NASA’s science disciplines every 10 years (a decade)  identifying the top science questions and missions needed to answer them over the next 10 years.  In some cases the Decadal Surveys make recommendations to other agencies as well. The astronomy and astrophysics Decadal Survey is for NASA\, the National Science Foundation\, which operates ground-based telescopes\, and the Department of Energy’s High Energy Physics program.
