SUMMARY:RELOCATION OF SOYUZ MS-18 TO NAUKA PORT\, Sept 28\, 2021\, Earth orbit\, 8:21 am ET
DESCRIPTION:The crew of Soyuz MS-18 will board their spacecraft on September 28\, 2021 at 8:21 am ET to move it from its current docking port at the International Space Station to a different one on the new Nauka science module that arrived in July.  This will be the first docking with Nauka. \nThe maneuver will free up the spacecraft’s current Rassvat port for the Soyuz MS-19 crew that will arrive after their October 5 launch. \nThe Soyuz MS-18 crew is composed of two Russians\, Oleg Novitsky and Pyotr Dubrov\, and American Mark Vande Hei.  All three must board the spacecraft for this brief flight just in case anything goes awry and they have to return to Earth. \nRedocking is scheduled for 9:00 am ET\, just 39 minutes later.  NASA TV coverage begins at 8:00 am ET on NASA Television\, the NASA app\, and the agency’s website.. \nPort relocations are common. This is the 20th and noteworthy mostly because it is the first docking with Nauka\, which had a troubled arrival at ISS.
