DESCRIPTION:The National Academies of Sciences\, Engineering and Medicine will release its new Decadal Survey for Solar and Space Physics (Heliophysics) on December 5\, 2024 at 11:00 am ET at the Keck Center\, 500 5th St. NW\, Washington\, DC. It will be webcast. \nThe report is entitled “The Next Decade of Discovery in Solar and Space Physics: Exploring and Safeguarding Humanity’s Home in Space.” \nThe National Academies produce Decadal Surveys every 10 years (a decade) for each of NASA’s five science disciplines — astrophysics\, biological and physical sciences in space\, earth science and applications from space\, planetary science and astrobiology\, and solar and space physics (also known as Heliophysics) — to set scientific priorities through a community-based consensus process. \nMore information is on the event’s website\, which says: \n \nCheck that website closer to the event date for more details on where the meeting will take place and how to listen virtually.
