DESCRIPTION:The Senate Armed Services Committee (SASC) will hold a hearing on July 28\, 2020 in 106 Dirksen Senate Office Building at 2:30 pm ET on the nomination of Army Lt. Gen. James Dickinson to be Commander of U.S. Space Command.  He currently is Deputy Commander (and former U.S. Army Space and Missile Defense Command/Army Forces Strategic Command and Joint Functional Component Command for Integrated Missile Defense). \nThe hearing will also consider the nomination of Air Force Lt. Gen. Glen VanHerck to be Commander of U.S. Northern Command. \nThe hearing will be webcast on the committee’s website.  The Capitol Complex remains closed to the public due to the coronavirus pandemic\, so the public must watch the webcast.
