DESCRIPTION:The Senate Armed Services Committee (SASC) will hold a hearing on May 10\, 2018 at 9:30 am ET in 216 Hart Senate Office Building to consider five nominations for positions at DOD. \nOne of those is Lisa Porter to be Deputy Under Secretary of Defense for Research and Engineering (DUSD/R&E).  Porter was NASA’s Associate Administrator for Aeronautics during part of Mike Griffin’s term as Administrator.  Griffin is now USD/R&E.  After leaving NASA\, she was Director of the Intelligence Advanced Research Projects Agency (IARPA) and Executive Vice President of In-Q-Tel and director of IQT labs. \nThe full list of nominees that will be considered at the hearing is as follows: \n\nDr. Lisa J.
