DESCRIPTION:The Senate Armed Services Committee will mark up the FY2024 National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) on June 20-21\, 2023. \nSubcommittee markups are on June 20 in the afternoon and June 21 in the morning\, with full committee markup in the afternoon of June 21. If needed\, deliberations will continue on June 22 and June 23. \n\nNEWS: SASC Chairman @SenJackReed and Ranking Member @SenatorWicker today announced the full committee and subcommittee markup schedule for the #FY24NDAA.\nSubcommittee markup: June 20-21\nFull committee markup: June 21\nRelease: https://t.co/DyQdESi3WW \n— Senate Armed Services Committee (@SASCDems) June 5\, 2023 \n \nAll the markups are closed except the Personnel Subcommittee on June 21.  The full schedule is in the committee’s press release. \nThese markups were delayed until after Congress completed work on the Fiscal Responsibility Act\, which sets spending limits for FY2024 and FY2025. Defense spending is exempted\, but cannot exceed President Biden’s $886 billion request pursuant to that law.
