DESCRIPTION:The Financial Services and General Government Subcommittee of the Senate Appropriations Committee will hold a hearing at 10:00 am ET on June 16\, 2020 in 124 Dirksen Senate Office Building on “Oversight of FCC Spectrum Auctions Program.” \nThe witness is FCC Chairman Ajit Pai. \nAlthough this hearing is not directly about space activities\, FCC spectrum auctions can affect space activities by reallocating spectrum currently used by satellites to other uses (especially the insatiable appetite for terrestrial mobile services) or creating situations where interference may occur.  These topics may or may not arise in the course of the hearing. \nThe Capitol Complex remains closed to the public\, so the public must watch the webcast on the committee’s website. \n  \n
