DESCRIPTION:The Senate Commerce\, Science\, and Transportation Committee will hold a hearing on the nomination of Stephen Dickson to be the Administrator of the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) on May 15\, 2019 at 10:00 am ET in G50 Dirksen Senate Office Building.  The committee webcasts its hearings on its website. \nMr. Dickson is the only witness. \nThe FAA’s Office of Commercial Space Transportation regulates\, facilities and promotes the commercial space launch and reentry business.  Integrating space launches and reentries into the National Airspace System (NAS)\, which is overseen by the FAA’s Air Traffic Organization (ATO)\, is major issue at the moment.  The committee held a hearing on that topic on May 8.
