DESCRIPTION:The Senate Commerce\, Science\, and Transportation Committee will meet in Executive Session on December 1\, 2021 in 253 Russell Senate Office Building at 10:15 am ET to vote on several nominations. \nAmong them are the nominations of Jessica Rosenworcel to be Chair of the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) and Jainey Kumar Bavishi to be Assistant Secretary of Commerce for Oceans and Atmosphere\, a position that is also Deputy Administrator of NOAA. \nImmediately after the Executive Session\, the committee will convene a hearing on other nominations\, including Gigi Sohn to be an FCC Commissioner. \nThe Executive Session and the hearing will be webcast on the committee’s website.
