(The meeting isn’t taking place in the committee’s hearing room.)  A press release will be issued later. \nUpdate\, December 8:  The committee just announced a room change.  It will take place in S-207\, the Mansfield Room\, not in S-216. \n \nOriginal Entry: The Senate Commerce\, Science\, and Transportation Committee will vote — for a second time — on the nomination of Jared Isaacman to be NASA Administrator on December 8\, 2025 at 5:30 pm ET.  Isaacman’s nomination is one of eight that will be considered. \nThe meeting is tentatively planned to take place in S-216\, The President’s Room. Check the committee’s website for up to date information. \nThe meeting will be webcast on the committee’s website and YouTube channel. \nThe committee approved (19-9) Isaacman’s nomination on April 30\, 2025\, but President Trump withdrew the nomination on May 31 after a falling out with Elon Musk\, who recommended Isaacman. Trump reinstated the nomination last month. A second nomination hearing will take place on December 3 prior to this committee vote.
