DESCRIPTION:The Senate Commerce\, Science\, and Transportation Committee will hold a hearing on January 15\, 2025 at 10:00 am ET in 253 Russell Senate Office Building on the expected nomination of Sean Duffy to be Secretary of Transportation. The hearing will be webcast on the committee’s website. \nThe Department of Transporation includes the FAA and its Office of Commercial Space Transportation. President-elect Trump has announced his intention to nominate Duffy to be Secretary of Transportation\, but cannot formally nominate him until he takes office on January 20.  Senate rules allow hearings to be held on expected nominations in advance of the inauguration so they can be confirmed in a timely manner.
