DESCRIPTION:The 2018 SIRIUS Talks conference\, “Space Economy: Urgent Need for New Global Regulation?\,” will take place October 23\, 2018 in the Assembly Room of the Occitania Region\, 22 Boulevard du Marechal Juin\, 31400\, Toulouse\, France. \nDetails are on the conference website. \nThe SIRIUS Talks conference is organized annually by the\nSIRIUS Chair – a business chair founded on a private-public\npartnership involving three leading operators in the global\nspace sector (CNES\, Airbus Defence & Space and Thales\nAlenia Space) and two respected higher education institutions\n(Toulouse Capitole 1 University and the Toulouse Business\nSchool). The conference aims to provide an opportunity for\nresearchers working on legal\, social\, economic and managerial\nissues confronting space activities to share their work with\nacademic and industrial communities in the space sector.\nWith the theme “Space Economy: Urgent Need for New Global\nRegulation?”\, this year’s conference includes four sessions with\ngreat keynote presentations on Space Traffic Management\,\nSpace Resource Exploitation\, Space Insurance and Strategies\,\nand Space Policy and Market investment. The conference\nis open to experts\, industry representatives\, early career\nmanagers\, entrepreneurs\, business and academia researchers\nand students\, and other relevant stakeholders in the space\ncommunity.
