SUMMARY:SPACEX DRAGON CRS-13 RETURNS TO EARTH\, Jan 13\, 2018\, ISS departure 5:00 am ET
DESCRIPTION:SpaceX’s Dragon spacecraft will depart from the International Space Station (ISS) on January 13\, 2018 and return to Earth\, splashing down in the Pacific Ocean at 10:36 am ET. \nThis is SpaceX’s 13th operational Commercial Resupply Services (CRS) mission to the ISS.  SpaceX CRS-13\, or SpX-13\, was launched on December 15\, 2017 and arrived at the ISS on December 17\, delivering supplies\, equipment\, and scientific experiments.   It is the only one of the four ISS cargo resupply spacecraft (Dragon\, Cygnus\, HTV\, and Progress) that is designed to survive reentry and return to Earth.  It will bring back 4\,100 pounds of cargo\, including the results of scientific experiments. \nNASA TV will cover the release of Dragon using the robotic Canadarm2 beginning at 4:30 am ET.  Release is scheduled for 5:00 am ET. \nIt is NOT cover the deorbit burn or splashdown\, which are SpaceX events.
