SUMMARY:STARSHIP IFT-14\, Sept 28\, 2026\, Starbase\, TX\, 8:15-9:30 am ET
DESCRIPTION:Update\, September 17:  The date has slipped to September 28. \n\nNow targeting to launch Starship Flight 14 as early as Monday\, September 28\, pending regulatory approval https://t.co/3nG9wffG6A \n— SpaceX (@SpaceX) September 17\, 2026 \n \nOriginal Entry: SpaceX plans to launch its 14th Starship Integrated Flight Test\, IFT-14\, as soon as September 22\, 2026\, pending regulatory approval\, with a launch window from 8:15-9:30 am ET. \nSpaceX’s live webcast begins 30 minutes before liftoff from Starbase\, TX. \nThis will be the first attempt to place Starship in orbit. The previous tests have been suborbital. \nThey do not plan to bring the first stage Super Heavy booster back to the launch site for a “catch.” It will land in the Gulf. \nThe plan is for the second stage\, Starship\, to make 6 orbits of Earth over 10 hours\, with splashdown to the west of Chile.  “Starship will only execute a burn to enter orbit after the flight control team has ensured there is sufficient redundancy on hardware critical to doing the subsequent deorbit burn at the end of the mission” according to SpaceX. \nMore information is on the SpaceX website\, where any updates to the schedule also will be posted.
