DESCRIPTION:NASA Administrator Bill Nelson will make his first address to the NASA workforce on June 2\, 2021 at 3:00 pm ET from the James Webb auditorium at NASA HQ in Washington\, DC. \nIn a “State of NASA” address\, Nelson and other top NASA officials will talk about the agency’s plans for future climate science missions\, a robotic and human return to the Moon through the Artemis program\, and more. (In recent years\, NASA officials have conducted State of NASA events in conjunction with the release of the agency’s fiscal year budget request.  NASA’s full FY2022 budget request will be released by the White House on May 28.) \nThe event will air live on NASA Television\, the NASA app\, and the agency’s website. \nFollowing his remarks\, Nelson will speak to members of the media along with — \n\nBob Gibbs\, associate administrator for mission support\nKathy Lueders\, associate administrator for human exploration and operations\nBob Pearce\, associate administrator for aeronautics research\nJim Reuter\, associate administrator for space technology\nDr. Thomas Zurbuchen\, associate administrator for science\n\nFor the first time since the pandemic\, a limited number of reporters will be allowed to listen to the remarks from a conference room at NASA HQ close to the Webb Auditorium and then move to the auditorium for the Q&A.
