DESCRIPTION:The National Defense Industrial Association (NDIA) will hold a webinar on January 11\, 2023 from 10:00 am – 12:00 pm ET on the “State of the Space Industrial Base.” \nMore information is on the event’s website\, which says: \nThe Defense Innovation Unit recently published the State of the Space Industrial Base 2022 report highlighting critical steps the United States must take in order to maintain its leadership position in Space vis a vis China.  Of the many steps required\, one of the most crucial is the need to accelerate progress on strengthening the space industrial base. \nDuring the webinar\, the authors will provide an in-depth look at key issues covered in the report that are most important to the Space Industrial Base.  Topics will include: \n\nThe need for the U.S government to articulate a national vision for Space\nWays that the U.S. can accelerate domestic manufacturing and strengthen supply chains for Space\, and given increased Chinese investment in Science and Technology\nSteps the U.S. must take in order to maintain its leadership in global research and development and to transition innovative products and services into operational use.\n\nIndustry experts will then provide their perspectives on the health of the Space Industrial Base and analyze how the government and industry can work together to promote innovation\, strengthen the sector\, and ensure that the US is the technological leader in this critical area. \nThe agenda is posted. \n  \n
