DESCRIPTION:The SETI Institute will hold a discussions on November 20\, 2019 from 7:00-8:00 pm PACIFIC TIME on “Technosignatures or Biosignatures: Which Will Succeed First?” for detecting intelligent life elsewhere in the universe.  The event will take place at SRI International HQ\, 333 Ravenswood Ave.\, Menlo Park\, CA. \nSETI Institute co-founder Jill Tartar and 2018 Drake Award Recipient Vikki Meadows will participate in the discussion\, moderated by Molly Bentley\, co-hose and producer of the radio program and podcast Big Picture Science. \nTartar initiated Project Phoenix which is searching for technosignatures using the Allen Telescope Array and Laser SETI.  Meadows is analyzing data from exoplanets to identify biosignatures. \nMore information is on the event’s website.
