Trash in the Skies II: Industry Persp on Space Debris, July 2017, DC

The Secure World Foundation (SWF) will hold a briefing on July 10, 2017 in 2325 Rayburn House Office Building from 12:00-2:00 pm ET on the topic of “Trash in Space II:  Industry Perspectives on Dealing with Space Debris.”  It is a follow on to a SWF briefing on Capitol Hill 5 years ago.  SWF notes in the invitation that “there have been few meaningful improvements in the situation” since then.

Speakers are:

  • Jim Vedda, Senior Policy Analyst, Center for Space Policy and Strategy, The Aerospace Corporation
  • Tim MacLay, Director of Mission Systems Engineering, OneWeb
  • Jonathan Goff, President and CEO, Altius Space Machines
  • Brian Weeden, Director of Program Planning, SWF (moderator)

The event is free, but lunch will be available and therefore one must RSVP by Friday, July 8.
