The Secure World Foundation (SWF) will hold a briefing on July 10, 2017 in 2325 Rayburn House Office Building from 12:00-2:00 pm ET on the topic of “Trash in Space II: Industry Perspectives on Dealing with Space Debris.” It is a follow on to a SWF briefing on Capitol Hill 5 years ago. SWF notes in the invitation that “there have been few meaningful improvements in the situation” since then.
Speakers are:
- Jim Vedda, Senior Policy Analyst, Center for Space Policy and Strategy, The Aerospace Corporation
- Tim MacLay, Director of Mission Systems Engineering, OneWeb
- Jonathan Goff, President and CEO, Altius Space Machines
- Brian Weeden, Director of Program Planning, SWF (moderator)
