SUMMARY:TRIENNIAL EARTH-SUN SUMMIT (AGU/AAS)\, May 20-24\, 2018\, Leesburg\, VA
DESCRIPTION:The American Geophysical Union (AGU) and American Astronautical Society (AAS) will hold the Triennial Earth-Sun Summit (TESS) from May 20-24\, 2018 at the Lansdowne Resort and Spa in Leesburg\, VA. \nThe conference\, TESS\, should not be confused with NASA’s TESS satellite (Transiting Exoplanet Survey Satellite) scheduled for launch on April 16\, 2018. \nThe conference is described as follows: \n“TESS is a joint meeting of the Space Physics and Aeronomy Section of the American Geophysical Union and the Solar Physics Division of the American Astronomical Society. The first TESS meeting took place in 2015. The 2018 meeting includes participation by the entire heliophysics community\, encompassing all sub-disciplines devoted to studies of the Sun\, heliosphere\, magnetosphere and ionosphere-thermosphere-mesosphere. TESS not only promotes greater interaction and unity within heliophysics\, but also fosters connections to astrophysics and planetary physics.” \nMore information is on the event’s website.
