SUMMARY:UNDOCKING AND LANDING OF SOYUZ MS-19\, Mar 30\, 2022\, Kazakhstan\, 3:21 am ET/7:28 am ET
DESCRIPTION:Note: NASA has updated the times for hatch closure\, undocking\, and landing. The revised times are shown below. \nTwo Russian cosmonauts and a NASA astronaut will return to Earth on Soyuz MS-19 on March 30\, 2022. \nNASA astronaut Mark Vande Hei and Russian cosmonaut Petr Dubrov launched together on Soyuz MS-18 in March 2021 and will have spent almost a year (355 days) in space. Vande Hei will set a new U.S. record for continuous duration in space\, surpassing Scott Kelly’s 340 days. The world record is held by Russian cosmonaut Valery Polyakov who spent 438 days in space from 1994-1995\, so Dubrov’s mission will not be record-setting for Russia. \nThe other Russian cosmonaut returning on Soyuz MS-19\, Anton Shkaplerov\, launched on Soyuz MS-19 in October 2021 with two Russian space tourists who returned to Earth in Soyuz MS-18 after 12 days in space with another Russian cosmonaut who had arrived at ISS with Vande Hei and Dubrov. \nShkaplerov\, Dubrov and Vande Hei will — \n\nclose the hatch to the ISS at ~12:00 am ET (NASA TV coverage begins 11:30 pm EDT March 29)\nundock from ISS at 3:21 am ET ( NASA TV begins 2:45 am EDT)\nfire the Soyuz engines for the deorbit burn at 6:34 am EDT (NASA TV begins 6:15 am EDT and continues through landing)\nland on the steppes of Kazakhstan at 7:28 am EDT\n\nRoscosmos also will cover the landing via YouTube (times in this tweet are in UTC\, which is EDT + 4). \n\nUPD: the link to the Roscosmos coverage on YouTube: https://t.co/TMz7LVA90a \n— Katya Pavlushchenko (@katlinegrey) March 29\, 2022
