DESCRIPTION:The Council of the European Union (EU) will hold a video conference of ministers responsible for space on May 29\, 2020. \nThe announcement on the EU website does not mention the time or a specific agenda\, but describes the meeting thusly: \nMinisters responsible for space policy will discuss the role of space data\, services and technology to foster a green and sustainable economic recovery from the COVID-19 crisis. \nEven as Europe faces the challenges brought about by the COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic\, the transition to a sustainable and climate neutral economy remains a priority. The green transition has been identified as a key area for investment in the joint roadmap for recovery presented by European Council President Michel and European Commission President von der Leyen on 21 April. \nSpace technologies are key to addressing the challenges of this green transition.
