DESCRIPTION:Update: The dates have changed to April 2-4\, 2024.  More information is on the event’s website.  The in-person meeting is at the Washington Plaza Hotel in Washington\, DC. \n \nOriginal Entry: The Lunar and Planetary Institiute will host a workshop for NASA and NSF from February 20-22\, 2024 in Washington\, D.C. \nThe topic is: “Integrating Ocean Drilling and NASA Science: A Workshop to Explore Missions to Planet Earth.” \nMore information is on the event’s website\, which says: \nSave the Date\nThe Integrating Ocean Drilling and NASA Science: A Workshop to Explore Missions to Planet Earth workshop is scheduled for February 20–22\, 2024\, in Washington\, D.C.\, with virtual participation available. \nThis is a strategic workshop that is designed to lay the foundation for a new partnership between the National Science Foundation (NSF) and NASA focused on scientific ocean drilling\, which is aligned with the recent memorandum of understanding between the two federal agencies. The goal of this workshop is to identify and build on the scientific synergies that NASA’s Earth and Planetary Science Divisions within the Science Mission Directorate (SMD) have with scientific ocean drilling and to explore using the United States scientific ocean drilling vessel and allied international drilling assets for joint research ventures.
