SUMMARY:WORSHOP ON RESPONSIBLE BEHAVIOR AND THE DEMOCRATIZATION OF SPACE\, Feb 5\, 2020\, Singapore
DESCRIPTION:The Secure World Foundation (SWF) and the Singapore Space & Technology Association will hold a workshop in Singapore on February 5\, 2020 from 1:00-5:00 pm local time on “Responsible Behavior and the Democratization of Space.”  It will take place in conjunction with the 2020 Global Space and Technology Convention. \nThe workshop is by invitation only. \nMore information is on the SWF website\, which describes it this way: \n\nSecure World Foundation\, in partnership with the Singapore Space & Technology Association (SSTA)\, will organize a workshop on February 5\, 2020 in Singapore on the topic of the “Responsible Space Behavior and the Democratization of Space.” The workshop will be held on the day prior to the 2020 Global Space and Technology Convention (GSTC). \nAs the space start-up community continues to grow internationally\, and the investment/finance community becomes more involved\, SWF is working with partners to organize the “Space Investing & Responsible Behavior” workshop series. In a growing and diversifying community of space-interested investors\, this discussion seeks to raise awareness of the importance of responsible operations practices in light of the unique challenges to the sustainability of the space domain. This workshop at GSTC will examine the context through which the investor community can work with industry to encourage and implement responsible space operations practices. Topics expect to be discussed at this workshop include: \n\n\n\n\nEvolution of the commercial space industry\nIndustry-driven responsible space operations principles\nPerspectives on the role of the investing community in incentivizing responsible behavior\n\nAn agenda for the event is forthcoming. \nParticipation is by invitation only. For more information please contact SWF Director of Private Sector Programs\, Mr. Ian Christensen. \n\n
