The Trump Administration requested $1.579.5 billion for NOAA’s satellite programs, a reduction of $399.3 million from FY2017. In the 2018 Consolidated Appropriations Act, Congress appropriated $1,857.2 million, $277.7 million more than requested, primarily for NOAA’s next two polar orbiting weather spacecraft.
