Baumgartner Jump Off Until Sunday at Earliest

The weather is not cooperating for Felix Baumgartner’s record breaking sky dive jump.   Event sponsor Red Bull Stratos had been hoping to try again tomorrow, but just tweeted that conditions will not be right at least until Sunday, October 14.

Baumgartner will jump from a capsule attached to a high altitude balloon at 120,000 feet and then fall to earth, breaking the sound barrier in the process.   Two practice jumps from lower altitudes were successful and it now is just a matter of waiting for suitable weather conditions.   Yesterday’s attempt was scuttled by gusty winds.
