White House Announces Members of National Space Council Users’ Advisory Group

On the eve of the second meeting of the National Space Council, the White House announced the 29 members of the Council’s Users’ Advisory Group.  Composed of non-federal government representatives, it reports to and provides advice solely to the Council.

The Space Council will hold its second public meeting tomorrow at Kennedy Space Center, FL.   As of 11:00 pm ET tonight, the White House had not released an agenda or list of speakers.  The meeting, “Moon, Mars, and Worlds Beyond: Winning the Next Frontier,” reportedly will focus on regulatory reform for commercial space activities.  It begins at 10:00 am ET and will be broadcast on NASA TV and livestreamed at NASA Live (www.nasa.gov/nasalive).

Just before 8:00 pm ET this evening, the White House issued a press release with the names of the Users’ Advisory Group members.  The list is as follows:

Pursuant to the Executive Order signed by President Trump on June 30, 2017 reestablishing the Council (E.O. 13803), the Users’ Advisory Group members serve without compensation for their work for the Group, but their travel costs are covered.
