ESA PRE-LAUNCH JWST PRESS CONFERENCE, Dec 16, 2021, virtual, 10:00 am ET

The European Space Agency will hold a virtual press conference on December 16, 2021 at 16:00 Central European Time (10:00 am Eastern Standard Time) in advance of the launch of the James Webb Space Telescope, which is scheduled for December 22.  The press conference will be livestreamed on ESA’s website.

JWST is a joint program of NASA, ESA, and the Canadian Space Agency.

Speakers at the ESA press conference are:

• Günther Hasinger, ESA Director of Science
• Daniel Neuenschwander, ESA Director of Space Transportations
• Antonella Nota, ESA Webb Project Scientist
• Gillian Wright, European Principal Investigator for MIRI instrument

The event will be moderated by Ninja Menning, Head of Newsroom and Media Relations.
