NASA BRIEFING ON OPERATIONS OF THE MARS PERSEVERANCE ROVER, Sept 15, 2022, JPL, 11:30 am ET

NASA will hold a briefing at the Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL) in Pasadena, CA on September 15, 2022 at 8:30 am Pacific Time (11:30 am Eastern) to review the first year-and-a-half of operations of the Mars Perseverance rover.  It will be broadcast on NASA Television, TwitterFacebook, and YouTube, as well as the agency’s app.

Participants are:

  • Lori Glaze, director of NASA’s Planetary Science Division, NASA Headquarters
  • Laurie Leshin, JPL director
  • Art Thompson, Perseverance project manager, JPL  Rick Welch, Perseverance deputy project manager is now participating in the briefing in place of Art Thompson
  • Ken Farley, Perseverance project scientist, Caltech
  • Sunanda Sharma, Scanning Habitable Environments with Raman and Luminescence for Organics and Chemicals [SHERLOC] scientist, JPL
  • David Shuster, Perseverance returned sample scientist, University of California, Berkeley
