Original Entry: Japan’s Smart Lander for Investigating Moon (SLIM) will land on the Moon on January 20, 2024 at 12:20 am Japan Standard Time, which is January 19, 10:20 am Eastern Standard Time.
SLIM was launched on September 6, 2023 ET and its arrival time at the Moon was TBD. On December 5, the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA) announced the date and time for the landing, adding that a second opportunity is available on February 16, 2024 if needed.
