GETTING ON TRACK: SPACE AND AIRBORNE SENSORS FOR HYPERSONIC MISSILE DEFENSE (CSIS), Dec 18, 2023, DC?/virtual, 2:00-3:30 pm ET

The Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS) will release a new report, “Getting on Track: Space and Airborne Sensors for Hypersonic Missile Defense,” and hold a panel discussion on December 18, 2023 from 2:00-3:30 pm ET.

CSIS Missile Defense Project director Tom Karako and the report’s lead author, Masao Dahlgren, will provide an overview of the report.

CSIS Aerospace Security Project director Kari Bingen then will introduce and lead the panel of experts:

  • John Hill, Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for Space and Missile Defense
  • Col. Alexander Rasmussen, Chief, Tracking Layer, Space Development Agency
  • Richard Ritter, Program Executive for Sensors, Command and Control, Missile Defense Agency
  • Ryan Tully, Strategic Forces Lead (Majority), Professional Staff Member, House Armed Services Committee

The event will be webcast.  The website does not explicity say that this is an in-person meeting, which presumably would take place at CSIS’ offices at 1616 Rhose Island Ave, NW, Washington, DC, but an icon suggests it is both in-person and virtual.

More information and a registration link are on the event’s website.
