4th STARSHIP TEST FLIGHT (IFT-4/OFT-4), June 6, 2024, Boca Chica, TX, 8:50 am ET

Update, June 6: 7:20 am ET:  The launch time is now planned for 7:50 am Central (8:50 am Eastern).  The launch window is open until 9:00 am Central (10:00 am Eastern). Livestream will begin 30 minutes in advance.

NASASpaceflight.com, a commercial website not affiliated with NASA (or SpaceX), also has a livestream with its own live cameras at Boca Chica and commentators that is already underway.

Update, June 6:  Elon Musk posted on.X (formerly Twitter) that liftoff is planned for 7:20 am Central Time (8:20 am Eastern) this morning and will be live-streamed “exclusively” on X.

Update, June 1: SpaceX says they now are targeting June 6, pending regulatory approval.


Original entry: SpaceX announced on May 24 that the fourth Integrated Test Flight (also called Orbital Test Flight) of the Starship/Super Heavy space transportation system will take place as early as June 5, 2024 pending regulatory approval.

More information on what they plan to do during this IFT-4/ OFT-4 test is on the SpaceX website.

The test flight will be webcast on SpaceX’s website beginning 30 minutes before liftoff.  The launch window opens as early as 7:00 am CENTRAL Time (8:00 am Eastern).
