The 5-year anniversary of the Artemis Accords will be celebrated at an event on December 11, 2025 from 8:30-10:30 am ET in-person at the Meridian International Center, 1630 Crescent Place, NW, Washington, DC, and online.
Pre-registration is required for both. Seating is limited.

Among the speakers are Mike Gold, currently President, Civil and International Space, Redwire, and Gabriel Swiney, currently Director of Policy, Advocacy, and International Division, Office of Space Commerce, NOAA, U.S. Department of Commerce. Gold and Swiney led development of the Accords in 2020 when Gold was at NASA and Swiney at the State Department.

To date, 59 countries have signed the Artemis Accords that establish 10 principles for responsible behavior on the Moon. The first eight signed in October 2020. The Philippines became the most recent signatory in October 2025 and Latvia is on the cusp of signing. NASA told SpacePolicyOnline.com on November 3 (during the government shutdown) that the Latvian government passed legislation on October 31 allowing them to proceed with signing and would do so in Washington once the shutdown ended.
