The Portugese Space Agency will hold the 6th New Space Atlantic Summit at the European Maritime Safety Agency (EMSA) in Lisbon, Portugal on May 10, 2023.
The theme is: “A Global Effort for Space Sustainability.”

Building on the success of the previous years, the New Space Atlantic Summit has become a milestone event for the Atlantic and European Space Ecosystems. In this 6th edition, the Portuguese Space Agency Summit will focus on the need to pursue A Global Effort for Space Sustainability to ensure that we secure the future of a thriving ecosystem while ensuring the future of humanity on Earth.
As Space becomes more relevant in the international scene, so does its role as a diplomatic tool for peace and long-standing partnerships between nations, independent of their level of maturity in space technology, making the world evolve constantly. In addition, space provides data to support decisions to create a more sustainable planet and as an inspiration for the young generations.
