A NEW ERA IN LAUNCH SERVICES (SSPI), May 11, 2023, virtual, 5:30-6:30 pm ET

Update, April 27, 11:50 am ET:  SSPI just sent an email saying this has been postponed to May 11, from 5:30-6:30 pm ET.

Original Entry: SSPI will hold a webinar on April 27, 2023 to discuss “A New Era in Launch Services.”

An email announcing it says it’s from 5:00-6:00 pm, but the registration page says 5:30-6:30 pm. We’re listing it here with the earlier time, but will try to clarify the correct time with the organizers.

More information and registration instructions are on the event’s website, which says:

This panel discussion will feature perspectives from a broad range of participants in the launch services industry, from service provider to spacecraft customer, orbital to suborbital, commercial to government, and spaceport users. The panelists will address contemporary issues, including the state of investment in start-up launch service companies, pricing, and the evolution of markets and how launch service providers are evolving with them.  Interwoven with these topics will be areas that warrant a deeper dive, for example additive manufacturing, the emergence of reusable, rapid turn-around suborbital services, and rideshare.

Panelists include:

  • Edgar Zapata, NASA Innovative Advanced Concepts (NIAC) External Council
  • Josh Brost, Relativity Space
  • Clint Hunt, United Launch Alliance
  • John Sloan, FAA Office of Commercial Space Transportation
  • Phil Smith, BryceTech (moderator)

The Zoom link will be sent to registrants.
