Event Navigation
Update, November 16: The press conference now is at 5:00 am ET.
Update, November 11: NASA is sticking with November 16 at 1:04 am ET for launch.
It is a two-hour launch window that day. The post-launch briefing is scheduled for 4:00 am ET, but that could change depending on exactly when (and if) it launches.
Participants are:
- Bill Nelson, NASA administrator
- Mike Sarafin, Artemis mission manager, NASA Headquarters
- Mike Bolger, Exploration Ground Systems Program manager, Kennedy
- John Honeycutt, Space Launch System Program manager, Marshall
- Howard Hu, Orion Program manager, NASA’s Johnson Space Center
- Emily Nelson, chief flight director, Johnson
Update, November 8: The November 14 launch has been postponed until at least November 16 due to Tropical Storm Nicole. November 19 is a backup. Stay tuned for updates on when this briefing will take place.
Original Entry: NASA continues to plan its third attempt to launch Artemis I on November 14, 2022 at 12:07 am ET. The first two attempts on August 29 and Septembe 3 scrubbed.
If the launch takes place on time, a post-launch press conference will occur at approximately 3:00 am ET.
The launch window is open for 69 minutes, so launch could take place as late as 1:16 am ET, so the time for the post-launch briefing could change.
Details on NASA’s launch coverage plans for Artemis I are in other calendar entries on this website.
