AUGMENTED REALITY SIMULATION OF APOLLO 11 LAUNCH AT JFK LIBRARY, July 16, 2019, Boston, MA, 9:32 am ET (YouTube/ Facebook)

The John F. Kennedy Presidential Library at Columbia Point, Boston, MA will show an “augmented reality  simulation” of the Apollo 11 launch on July 16, 2019.  Apollo 11 launched exactly 50 years ago that day.

The live outdoor event can be viewed on YouTube or Facebook.

Those in the Boston area are invited on July 16th to come to the JFK Library to witness the first-ever, full-scale augmented reality simulation of Apollo 11’s 363-foot tall Saturn V rocket launch from the Library’s outdoor patio at 9:32am ET. Just like the event in 1969, the launch will be broadcast across the country and around the world live beginning at 9am ET—but this time using twenty-first century streaming platforms including YouTubeFacebook, and Twitch.  And joining JFK’s team in the “broadcast booth” will be some of the most popular streamers on the Twitch platform today.
