Axiom Space will hold a mission briefing for its Axiom-1 (Ax-1) private astronaut mission to the International Space Station on February 28, 2022 at 11:00 am ET. NASA officials will participate in the briefing, which will be livestreamed on Axiom’s YouTube channel.
The Ax-1 launch is scheduled for March 30. The four-person Ax-1 crew, commanded by former NASA astronaut Michael López-Alegria who is now an Axiom employee, will launch on a SpaceX Falcon 9/Crew Dragon. The other three crew members are wealthy entrepreneurs from the United States, Canada, and Israel who are paying an undisclosed price for the trip, but it is rumored to be $55 million each.
