The British Interplanetary Society (BIS) will hold a webinar on December 14, 2022 from 12:00-18:30 GMT (7:00 am-1:30 pm Eastern Standard Time) to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the last Apollo lunar mission, Apollo 17. Gene Cernan and Harrison “Jack” Schmitt lifted off from the lunar surface on December 14, 1972 and splashed down in the Pacific Ocean on December 19, bringing the U.S. lunar Apollo program to a close.
