The first meeting of the Congressional Planetary Science Caucus will take place on May 9, 2018 from 3:00-5:00 pm ET in the Member’s Room of the Library of Congress Jefferson Building on Capitol Hill.
Participants include Bill Nye, CEO of The Planetary Society (“Bill Nye, the Science Guy”), and Robert Picardo, actor, Star Trek Voyager. In addition, scientists and policy experts will participate in an exhibition on space exploration with exhibitors from:

According to the announcement, the Congressional Planetary Science Caucus is a bipartisan, bicameral group of Senators and Representatives dedicated to:
· Finding life in our lifetimes,” by advancing federal policies that support the search for life in our solar system and beyond.
· Raising awareness of the benefits of federal investment in space science, technology, exploration, and STEM education which grows jobs and boosts the nation’s economy.
· Supporting private industry, academic institutions, and nonprofits that research and explore space.
