The Committee on Space Research (COSPAR) will hold its 42nd Scientific Assembly from July 14-22, 2018 in Pasadena, CA. More information is on the COSPAR website.
A public lecture will take place on July 17. MIT’s Sara Seagar will present a public lecture on Wednesday night on “Mapping the Nearest Starts for Habitable Worlds,” followed by a panel discussion with Caltech’s Bethany Ehlmann and JPL’s Kevin Hand (moderated by the Planetary Society’s Bill Nye).
There are a number of other special sessions.
On Friday, July 20, a special panel discussion will be held to celebrate COSPAR’s 60th anniversary. It features current COSPAR President Len DFisk, and two previous Presidents, Gerhard Haerendel and Roger-Maurice Bonnet.
