CREW DRAGON PORT RELOCATION AT ISS, Nov 3, 2024, Earth orbit, 6:35-7:18 am EST
Event Navigation
SpaceX’s Crew Dragon Freedom will be relocated from one port on the Harmony module to another on November 3, 2024.
The four crew members who will be using Freedom for their return home in February will board the spacecraft as it is moved from Harmony’s forward port to its space-facing port to make room for a Cargo Dragon, SpX-31, that is scheduled to arrive soon thereafter (SpX-31 is scheduled for launch on November 4) and needs to dock at the forward port.
NASA astronauts Nick Hague, Suni Williams and Butch Wilmore and Roscosmos cosmonaut Aleksandr Gorbunov — the members of Crew-9 — all must be aboard Freedom for this brief flight in case anything goes awry and they might have to make an emergency return to Earth.
They will undock at 6:35 am Eastern STANDARD Time and redock at 7:18 am ET. NASA+ coverage begins at 6:15 am EST. (Note that the United States changes from Daylight Saving Time to Standard Time at 2:00 am that morning.)
