DIVERSITY, EQUITY, AND INCLUSION IN THE AEROSPACE COMMUNITY AND WORKFORCE, PT. 1 (AIAA-ASCEND), July 15, 2020, virtual, 12:30-1:45 pm ET

The American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA) will hold a two-part webinar as part of its ASCEND series on July 15 and July 21 on Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion in the Aerospace Communication and Workforce.

Part 1, on July 15 from 12:30-1:45 pm ET, is “an interactive panel discussion on institutional transformations that address challenges and provide opportunities for African Americans within the aerospace workforce pipeline. Experts representing government, academia, and industry will highlight examples of initiatives and resources for K-12 and youth development, undergraduate and postgraduate education, and workplace DEI programs. This session was developed in partnership with the Aerospace Special Interest Group of the National Society of Black Engineers and will feature opening remarks from Jandria Alexander, Chair of the AIAA Diversity and Inclusion Working Group.”
