DRAKE AWARDS (SETI Institute), May 12, 2022, Menlo Park, CA/virtual, 6:00 pm PACIFIC Time

The SETI Institute will host the 2022 Drake Awards to honor excellence in the Search for Extraterrestrial Intelligence on May 12, 2022 at SRI International in Menlo Park, CA from 6:00-9:00 pm Pacific Time (9:00 pm – midnight Eastern).

A virtual option is available. A virtual reception hosted Seth Shostak, Host of Big Picture Science radio show & podcast and SETI Institute Senior Astronomer is from 6:00-7:00 pm Pacific, and the awards program is 7:00-8:00 pm Pacific.

More information is on the event’s website, which says Shelley Wright, pioneer in optical and near-infrared SETI, is this year’s recipient.
