EXPLORING SPACE: APOLLO LANDING SITES REVISITED, WITH NOAH PETRO, May 22, 2019, DC, 8:00 pm ET (webcast)

The National Air and Space Museum is holding a series of lectures in the Exploring Space series at the museum’s Washington, D.C. location at 600 Independence Ave, S.W.  The lectures are at 8:00 pm ET and are webcast.

On May 22, Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter (LRO) scientist Noah Petro will share perspectives on the Apollo landing sites in a lecture entitled: Apollo Landing Sites Revisited: Modern Datasets at Familiar Locales.  LRO is a NASA spacecraft that has been orbiting the Moon since 2009 taking high resolution images of the surface.
