FCC OPEN COMMISSION MEETING, Nov 19, 2026, DC/online, 10:30 am-12:30 pm ET

The FCC will hold its next monthly open commission meeting on November 19, 2026 from 10:30 am-12:30 pm at its headquarters, 45 L St, NE, Washington, DC and online.

One of the items to be discussed is:

Expanding Non-Geostationary Orbit Earth Stations in Motion Operations – The Commission will consider a Third Report and Order that would expand non-geostationary orbit Earth Stations in Motion operations in the fixed-satellite service across the entire 28.35-28.6 GHz band, thereby supporting the deployment of mobile broadband services to remote and rural locations on land, as well as providing ubiquitous connectivity to ships, planes, drones, blimps, cars, and other critical on-the-go devices, thereby furthering U.S. leadership and expansion in the growing space economy.
